1½ cups of homemade coconut milk (get my recipe here)
½ frozen banana
1 scoop protein powder (I use Unflavored Pure Paleo. Available here)
2 Tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut
1 Tbsp cacao powder or carob powder (for those with caffeine sensitivity, use carob)
1 Tsp coconut oil
1 tsp almond butter
¼ cup frozen spinach
3 ice cubes
Instructions
Combine all ingredients and blender and blend until smooth
Notes
** I try to get some type of green or vegetable in all my smoothies, which is why I added the spinach. You cannot see or taste it and it's a great way to sneak in some extra nutrients!
